Privacy & Terms
This page explains, in plain language, how Open Synaps collects information, uses it to operate the service, and gives users meaningful control over their data.
Your Data
We collect the information needed to run the service, support your account, and understand how the platform is performing.
Your Controls
You can request access, export, deletion, or reasonable restrictions when your environment or local law gives you that right.
Our Promise
We focus on minimal collection, practical transparency, and clear boundaries around how information is stored and used.
Information We Collect
Open Synaps may collect account details such as your name, email address, organization, and billing or support information when you register, request access, or contact the team. We also process the prompts, files, configuration details, and runtime inputs that you intentionally submit through the product so the platform can deliver the requested functionality.
We maintain limited operational telemetry such as request metadata, device or browser information, service logs, and performance measurements to keep the product reliable and secure. Where possible, these records are scoped to system operation, abuse prevention, and diagnostics rather than broad tracking.
How We Use Your Data
We use personal and operational information to provide the service, authenticate users, respond to support requests, protect the platform, and communicate important updates about availability, policy, or account activity. Data may also be used to investigate incidents, detect misuse, and improve the quality and stability of core product features.
When improvement work is performed, Open Synaps aims to use the minimum amount of information reasonably required for testing, debugging, and measurement. Access to relevant data is limited to personnel or systems that need it to perform a defined operational role.
Data Retention
We retain information for only as long as it is needed to operate the service, meet contractual or legal obligations, resolve disputes, or maintain legitimate security and audit records. Different categories of information may follow different retention windows depending on their purpose and sensitivity.
When data is no longer required, we aim to delete it, anonymize it, or place it beyond practical use through controlled archival processes. Backups and replicated systems may preserve copies for a limited period until normal rotation and deletion schedules are completed.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction and account relationship, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to object to certain uses or to withdraw consent where processing depends on consent rather than another legal basis.
We review privacy requests in context, verify the requester when necessary, and respond in line with applicable law and operational constraints. If a request cannot be fulfilled in full, we will explain the reason and outline any available alternatives.
Third-Party Services
Open Synaps may rely on carefully selected third-party providers for infrastructure hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processing, or support workflows. These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their service and are expected to handle it under contractual or technical safeguards.
External services maintain their own terms and privacy commitments, so interactions with those platforms can also be governed by the policies of the relevant provider. We encourage users to review vendor documentation whenever a workflow depends on an external system.
Security Measures
We use layered administrative, technical, and organizational controls designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. These measures may include encryption in transit, access management, audit logging, monitoring, and structured incident response practices.
No system can guarantee absolute security, but Open Synaps is designed to reduce risk through defense in depth and ongoing review. We continuously evaluate safeguards so the security posture evolves with changes in threats, architecture, and usage patterns.
